Money,
money, money....
it does seem to
make the world go around, and I don't quite have
enough yet to build our new water complex. I do have
a great contractor lined up as soon as the funds are all in
place. I am determined for this new complex to happen.
Right now, I need your financial support. You can make a
donation to Greene Co. Parks earmarked for the water
complex at Twin Towers and your donation can be tax
deductible. Or, you can donate directly to Gemwood Events.
(However, I can not offer you the tax break.) We need
another $6000.00 to make this project happen! Please

Slow Motion....
ok... so,
progress is moving a little slower than I hoped. sigh. I'm
a bit discouraged, but, not about to give up on building a
great new water complex for Twin Towers. Safety, design and
future maintenance are all going into the plan to make the
best water jump we can build. Being on public land, this
complex has to stand up to lots of schooling in all kinds
of weather and footing conditions. It's going to take more
time to insure that it is done right.
Once we get the green light for everything and the complex
is complete, I hope to host a clinic at Twin Towers to give
riders the opportunity to school the water before our July
26-27 Gemwood Horse Trials. This project needs your
support! Let Greene Co know how much you appreciate the
improvements so far and how much you are looking forward to

Things are in motion...
For a new water
complex!! The design
is ready and I'm busy meeting with people who can make it
happen! I am pushing for completion in time for our May
horse trials. It's a real possibility.. so, keep positive
thoughts coming that this will happen for Twin Towers. I'll
share new information here when I get
it.

Talked into it.....
I am finally
learning my lesson that our fall dates just don't work for
people. So, we will no longer try to put on an mid-October
event. I have been asked for the last couple of years to
offer a spring event to help fill up the calendar from the
loss of Stillwater H.T. and Spring Paxton H.T. So, in 2008
we are going to do it. Greater Dayton will run May 17-18,
2008. I hope you can all attend as competitor, volunteer or
spectactor. And......I'm hoping to be able to unveil a new
water complex for this event!!

A big thank you to.....
Everyone who
helped at 2007's work days. We rebuilt the Prelim.
trakehner, modified the rolltops, reversed the N/BN corral
jumps, stained several x/c jumps, etc. Here are some
pictures of what we did built.
